Amazon.co.uk starts selling 'pay monthly' deals with O2 connections

Amazon.co.uk has started selling ‘pay monthly’ mobile phones online. More than 90 different handsets are being offered, including the Amazon Fire smartphone, thanks to an agreement with O2 UK.

Some of the launch deals are even better than O2’s own offers, including an HTC One M8 on a £28 per month two-year contract, with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 1GB of data and no up-front cost.

Xavier Garambois, Vice President of EU Retail at Amazon, said “We’ve taken our years of experience selling mobile phones on Amazon.co.uk to make it as fast and easy as possible for customers to purchase a new pay monthly phone or upgrade an existing contract. We’re focused on helping customers choose the right phone, at the right price, with fast delivery and are celebrating the launch with a host of great value deals.”

The company is continuing to sell SIM-free handsets as well.
