Xiaomi sues American government after inclusion on Pentagon blacklist

Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi is suing the US government. The manufacturer was added to the government’s military blacklist in mid-January, barring Americans from investing in the business. The blacklist includes ‘Communist Chinese Military Companies’ that are alleged to have links with the Chinese military.

Xiaomi says the investment ban would damage the business and hurt its global reputation. It has denied any military affiliation or control.
