GSMA produces accurate mobile web figures for UK

The GSMA has been working with the UK's five mobile networks to produce accurate mobile browsing figures. By combining anonymised data, the GSMA says it's able to confirm the popularity of mobile web sites, ranked by number of visitors, page impressions, time and duration of visits. Its first survey shows - pretty much as expected - that the mobile operators' own sites are the most popular destinations, with 68% of UK mobile users visiting them. Next comes Google (in terms of visits), followed by Facebook (which is actually more popular if you measure the time spent browsing). [Press release]
