35% of mobile internet users go online every day

Digital research company comScore says using the mobile internet is becoming a daily activity for many people, with daily usage doubling from January 2008 to January 2009. Based on research in the USA, it says 35% of all people who access news and information on their mobile devices now do it every day; that's 22.4 million users. The overall amount of mobile web usage was also up from 36.9 million people to 63.2 million. Those figures exclude social networking, which saw a 427% year-on-year increase with 9.3 million Americans now using social networks or blogs every day on their mobile phones. [Press release]
