Apple iPhone software v3.0 announced

Apple announced version 3.0 of its iPhone software this afternoon... and it'll be available sometime this summer. The changes will introduce a search function, cut/copy/paste options, MMS picture messaging and stereo Bluetooth. In fact, Apple reckons there are over 100 new features in iPhone OS 3.0. No news about any new products, though. [Press release; presentation]

I'm so happy about cut & paste. No news about a better standard keyboard but we can't have everything.
With a Personal Area Network (PAN) the iPhone will be a great business phone and it'll probably become my main phone.
