10% of mobile games are sold for the iPhone

The latest figures from media analyst Screen Digest suggest that the $100 million of games downloaded to the Apple iPhone in the second half of 2008 accounted for over 10% of the North American mobile games market. However, the report doesn’t contain good news for networks; the market for games distributed by mobile operators, which was growing at over 50% in 2004 and 2005, is expected to increase by only 7% this year.
