O2 offers landline numbers for mobile phones

O2 is creating a new business services called Fixed Number Anywhere. It lets customers operate a local ‘01’ or ‘02’ landline number (or an 0808 free phone number) connected to their mobile phone without the need for diverts and redirections.

The service launches next month and will cost £10 a month for numbers with an 01 or 02 prefix and £15 per month for 0808 numbers. Each landline number can ring up to ten separate O2 mobiles – and up to five landline numbers can be connected to each mobile. [News release]
