Multimedia consumers are concerned about cost and relevance

Multimedia company 3ple-Media has published survey results that say consumers are particularly concerned about the cost and relevance of multimedia content.

45% of respondents worldwide said they now receive free, relevant mobile multimedia on their mobile phones – up from just 15% last year. And 58% of subscribers thought that receiving mobile multimedia content would be too expensive – up from last year’s figure of 32%. Mobile operators appear to agree; 65% of them say the issue of expense is the biggest barrier to customers receiving multimedia content. [PDF report]
