The Apple iPhone gets ready to go multi-network?

9th October 2009 is the date that the Apple iPhone will be officially available on other UK networks, according to Mobile Entertainment. (The UK, the USA and Germany all have exclusive single-network deals at the moment). Its website says that although O2 has the rights to sell the iPhone until 2012, O2’s exclusive agreement ends in October this year. The FT reports a similar yet less-definite story; Apple has a two-year break clause in its exclusivity agreement with Telefonica O2.

T-Mobile is already reported to be offering imported iPhones to retain consumers. It also sells the Apple iPhone in other countries, as do Orange and Vodafone.
