World Mobile Phone Throwing Championships

The 10th Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships take place today in Finland. Last year’s longest throw came from Estonian Timmo Lilium who threw a phone 85 metres. We'll do our best to cover the results from this contest in our podcast on Wednesday.

The results are in, with Finland winning the men's, women's and junior categories. Pauli Kosunen threw a mobile for 79.6 metres, Suvi Torikka threw a mobile for 37.05 metres and 12-year-old Verneri Aleksejev threw 43.77 metres.
