New Palm webOS smartphone due to arrive later this year
Palm has announced that its new Palm Pixi device is due to arrive in the USA by Christmas. It’s less than 11mm deep and weighs under 100g yet manages to fit in a 2.6-inch touch-sensitive screen and a QWERTY keyboard. No news yet about a UK release; we now seem to be ‘a model behind’ the US, with the Palm Pre due to launch on O2 UK at the same kind of time as the Pixi launches on Sprint . [Palm blog]
