U2 and BlackBerry announce new ‘Mobile Album’ application

Back in March we reported that U2's stadium tour was being sponsored by BlackBerry, marking the first stage of a relationship between RIM and U2.

That relationship has now seen the creation of the U2 Mobile Album, a free downloadable app that lets fans browse through photos, videos, interviews, news, lyrics and samples of the band’s music. It also provides a link for buying music from the ‘No Line On The Horizon’ album. Social networking will be added to the application in the future. [Press release; download page]
