Digital Britain deal could delay Orange/T-Mobile merger

The Digital Britain project’s aim of providing broadband access to all parts of the UK could slow down the proposed partnership between Orange and T-Mobile.

Initially it was the spectrum holding of Vodafone and O2 that could have caused problems with Digital Britain – but now the Office of Fair Trading is expected to ask the Competition Commission to look at the combined Orange and T-Mobile spectrum share instead.
