T-Mobile USA customers lose Danger Sidekick data

Last week’s problems with online data storage for Danger Sidekick handset users in the USA have been resolved – but T-Mobile says some online data has been lost, probably forever. The problem was caused by a server failure at Danger, which is owned by Microsoft. Sidekick owners were able to use the online service to store images and to backup information from their devices. It seems that things weren't as bad as Microsoft & T-Mobile initially thought. The companies have just published a statement that says they "now believe that data loss affected a minority of Sidekick users" and "are pleased to report that we have recovered most, if not all, customer data for those Sidekick customers whose data was affected by the recent outage". forums.t-mobile.com/tmbl/?category.id=Sidekick
