New forecast says mobile search ads are taking over from SMS ads

A new report from Coda Research Consultancy says 55% of all mobile ad revenue in the USA next year will come from text message advertising – but this’ll fall to 3% in 2015. Conversely, mobile search advertising – expected to account for under a third of total mobile ad revenue in 2010 - will rise to 70% of all mobile ad revenue in 2015. Mobile display advertising is also expected to increase; from 15% next year to 27% in 2015. [Sources: Cellular-News.com; TechCrunch.com]
