Orange is putting Google on its mobile phones

Mobile operator Orange has signed a partnership with Google that’ll see the Google Mobile App added to certain handsets and a special Google search widget pre-installed on Android devices. It’s the first pan-European mobile agreement for Google and will run for an undisclosed number of years.

Initially the Google Mobile App will be available on a few Orange Signature phones, including the HTC Tattoo in the UK. It’ll later be rolled out on other Signature devices running the Symbian S60, RIM and Windows Mobile operating systems. [Press release (pdf)]
