Apple follows Google into the mobile advertising business
Last year Google bought AdMob for $750 million. This year Apple has bought Quattro Wireless, with a figure of $270 million being discussed by commentators (although no official confirmation). Quattro says there'll be no change to its services or personnel in the short-term. Andy Miller, Quattro Wireless CEO, is now Apple's Vice President of Mobile Advertising.
