LG Mobile's John Barton is leaving the mobile industry

John Barton, sales and marketing director at LG Mobile in the UK, has handed in his notice and will leave the company in April. He's been there for five years and is leaving to join a film and media business as one of its directors.

A veteran with over 20 years' experience in the mobile industry, John Barton was sales director of 3 UK before joining LG. He's also worked with One2One (T-Mobile), Phones 4u, Cellnet (O2) and Talkland (Vodafone).

He told Mobile News "I have had a fantastic five years at the helm of LG. Every year we have grown and during my time here we always accomplished what we set out to do. LG will continue to grow from strength to strength after my departure."
