Chinese S60 smartphones suffer 'MMS Bomber' virus

A mobile phone virus known as 'MMS Bomber' is said to be affecting millions of mobile phone users in China. It's disguised as an application apparently targets smartphones running the S60 3rd edition operating system. When installed, the virus secretly sends MMS messages containing a malicious web address to random mobile phone numbers.

The virus was recorded by mobile security company NetQin Mobile in February, which had previously reported 100,000 infected mobile phones.
