T-Mobile UK tops 'real world' mobile broadband usage test

Broadband comparison website Broadband Genie has published the results of a 'real world' comparison between the UK's mobile broadband providers. The test involves a rail trip between Bournemouth and Cambridge to compare download and upload speeds, software, stability and coverage.

Broadband Genie has named T-Mobile as the overall winner, with Virgin Media as runner-up. It notes that the top data speeds on this year's tests were considerably faster than the 2009 results, with T-Mobile exceeding 3Mbps on occasions and Vodafone hitting 2Mbps.
