Bluetooth marketing works… and here’s the proof

Bolton-based Nextgen Bluetooth says its technology has helped cut crime by 30%. The marketing company has been working with Bedfordshire police, setting up a Nextgen Bluetooth server at Toddington Services on the M1 motorway. Drivers in the lorry park received messages in a selection of Western and Eastern European languages advising them to keep an eye on their loads and report any suspicious activity. Reported crime at this location dropped by over 30% during the two-month trial.

Crime levels increased when the server was removed; the technology has now been reinstalled permanently.
