Apple iPad starts selling in the UK – and many people still don't know what it does

The Apple iPad goes on sale in the UK today (although a number of pre-ordered devices were delivered yesterday). It's selling at Apple stores, at Currys, at PC World and at Best Buy, with other retailers due to start selling the tablet device later in the summer.

However, new research from TNS Technology says that although 18% of UK consumers are interested in buying the iPad, 65% of people have no idea what features it offers. 18% of people mentioned internet connectivity and 11% commented on the screen, but few other features were noted.
