HTC buys French mobile software company Abaxia

Smartphone producer HTC Corporation has acquired Paris-based software company Abaxia. Abaxia specialises in producing mobile phone software designed to push information and services to the 'home screen' of handsets. The two companies have worked together in the past.

Peter Chou, HTC's CEO, said "HTC is committed to creating the best possible mobile experience for our customers today, tomorrow and into the future. The addition of Abaxia deepen and broaden our software development capabilities so that we can innovate at an even faster pace."
