Vodafone Sure Signal complaints upheld by ASA

A number of complaints about an advertisement for Vodafone's Sure Signal femtocell service have been upheld by the Advertising Standards Authority.

The ASA ruled that the ad – which claimed Only Vodafone can guarantee mobile signal in your home – should have mentioned the need for a 3G phone and fixed-line broadband service. It also pointed out that relying on broadband could not 'guarantee' coverage and said the ad should have explained that 'Sure Signal' was a specific product.
