Apple devices - including the iPad - are moving into the enterprise space

Good TechnologyGood Technology, which enables organisations to connect a wide range of devices to their corporate networks, has published its first quarterly data report. The Q3 metrics report shows the Apple iPhone 4 is already the most frequently-activated device among Good’s enterprise customers, followed by the iPhone 3GS.

Overall more than 50% of net new activations from 1st May to 30th September 2010 were Apple iOS devices – the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPad – while Android devices represented nearly 30% of net new activations.

John Herrema, senior vice president of corporate strategy at Good Technology, said "It's an exciting time in the industry. More than ever, consumers are strongly influencing IT decision makers based on their personal mobility choices. The adoption of Good’s by thousands of enterprise to secure and manage these new platforms gives us unique insight into the devices and platforms that enterprise end users are choosing and with our quarterly analytics program, we want to document this revolution."
