Founder's grandson promoted to president of Samsung Electronics

Lee Jae-yong, the son of Samsung Electronics chairman Lee Kun-hee (and grandson of the company’s founder), has been promoted to president of Samsung Electronics. It’s part of a reorganisation that involved two promotions to vice chairman and nine new presidents in the group.

Choi Gee-sung, who was president at Samsung Electronics, has been promoted to CEO and vice chairman.
