Samsung goes green(er) with Blue Earth

Samsung’s announced a touch-screen phone called “Blue Earth” that has a solar panel on the back panel. The phone is made from recycled plastic from water bottles and is free from potentially dangerous substances such as Brominated Flame Retardants, Beryllium and Phthalate. The user interface also encourages environmental awareness with an Eco mode that sets screen brightness, backlight duration and Bluetooth… and a built-in pedometer calculates the CO2 saving compared to driving.
