Ofcom continues to target mobile 'not spots' in 2012/13 Annual Plan

UK regulator Ofcom has published the draft version of its Annual Plan, which covers the twelve months from 1st April 2012 until 31st March 2013. It’s now asking for feedback by mid-February before it prepares the final version of the statement.

Ofcom says its proposed priorities next year will include mobile not-spots, superfast broadband roll-out, the availability of local TV and community radio, and the overall provision of communications services. It also aims to auction frequencies in the 800MHz and 2.6GHz spectrum for 4G mobile services, with the UK’s roll-out of 4G services expected to take place during 2013/2014.
