Vodafone announces mobile health deal with medical device manufacturer Boston Scientific

Vodafone Global Enterprise, the Vodafone business unit that manages multinational customers, has announced an agreement with medical device developer Boston Scientific Corporation. The two companies aim to develop mobile health solutions that will offer real-time heart monitoring via Vodafone’s machine-to-machine (M2M) technology.

Michael Onuscheck, President for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region at Boston Scientific, said “With long patient lists and busy schedules, doctors are always looking for solutions that improve patient care while driving clinical efficiencies. Our collaboration with Vodafone allows us to use their mobile expertise and provide wireless remote patient monitoring services that appeal to both patients and healthcare providers.”
