EE's priority customer service call charges hit the headlines

A ‘priority answer service’ option for EE customers has proved unpopular with some customers, according to press reports.

Earlier this month the network introduced a new priority option for calls to customer services. Anyone on an EE ‘pay monthly’ or ‘SIM only’ deal who calls the standard customer service number on 150 can jump towards the front of the queue by paying 50p per call. The same charge applies for calling customer services in the evening after 8pm on weekdays and after 6pm at weekends.
