It says the mobile infrastructure and rate of development in these countries is creating significant new opportunities for app publishers.

New MEF survey says trust is the main barrier to mobile purchases

Mobile content and commerce organisation MEF has published the results of its Global Consumer Trust report for 2014. The study, which looks at privacy, transparency and security concerns, was carried out in partnership with online security company AVG Technologies.

According to the report, the single largest obstacle to purchasing goods and services via a mobile device is trust.

MEF predictions: ten key mobile trends for 2014

Mobile shoppers are buying dearer products, according to a new m-commerce survey

Mobile content and commerce group MEF has published its third annual mobile consumer survey, which involved 10,000 respondents from 13 countries.

It notes that the number of purchases via mobile devices has fallen for the first time, from 54% of mobile media users last year to 42% in 2013, but the value of individual purchases is going up.
