Dell launches its own Enterprise Mobility Management solution for smartphones, tablets and laptops

Dell, which recently became a privately-owned company under the chairmanship of founder Michael Dell, has announced a new Enterprise Mobility Management solution.

Dell’s EMM combines its mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM), mobile content management (MCM) and a Secure Remote Access gateway.

Dell returns to private ownership

Technology manufacturer Dell has moved from being a publicly-traded company to a privately-owned business this week.

Michael Dell, who founded the company and is its current CEO, has worked with investment firm Silver Lake Partners to complete a deal valued at approximately $24.9 billion.

Michael Dell on course to acquire the tech company he founded

Technology company Dell Inc. says a preliminary tally of votes from its recent special meeting shows that a majority of stockholders have approved the proposal to let company founder Michael Dell acquire the business in partnership with investment firm Silver Lake Partners.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the next few months, subject to regulatory approval.
