T-Mobile returns to Avenir Telecom

Airtime and accessory distributor Avenir Telecom has announced that it's now able to make connections to the T-Mobile UK network on behalf of its dealers.

The company, which has been in business for more than 20 years, was already able to connect via Orange, O2, and Three UK. It had previously stopped offering T-Mobile connections in 2009.

HTC quarterly results show revenue doubled from last year

Second quarter results from HTC show revenue of NT$ 124.4 billion (£2.63 billion), up 104% year-on-year.

Handset shipments were up 124% from the same period in 2010 to 12.1 million.

New Nokia handset has new numbering system

Nokia has announced a new Symbian smartphone today: the Nokia 500.

It's a touchscreen device with a 1GHz processor running the Symbian Anna operating system. As well as having a name that doesn't fit with the previous E, N, C and X prefixes, the Nokia 500 is also notable for weighing just 93g – less than any other Symbian^3 device.
