Management and board changes for BlackBerry as COO, CFO and CMO step down

BlackBerry says its Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer have both left as part of the company’s ongoing reorganisation.

In addition, Roger Martin has resigned from the BlackBerry board of directors after more than six years.

1.3 billion 4G LTE connections expected in five years' time

There’ll be 1.3 billion 4G LTE subscribers worldwide by the end of 2018, according to a new forecast from Informa Telecoms & Media.

That compares with just 188.6 million users at the end of this year.

Doro chooses Red Bend Software for its over-the-air smartphone updates

Swedish company Doro AB, which produces easy-to-use mobile phones for older consumers, has chosen Red Bend Software to deliver firmware over-the-air updates for its smartphones.

This means that customers who have the Android-powered Doro Liberto 810 - and those who buy Android smartphones from Doro in the future - will receive new versions of Android on their device in a quick, safe and easy way.
