France Telecom to become Orange

France Télécom, which has traded as ‘Orange’ within France and abroad for several years, is formally changing the company name to Orange on 1st July 2013. The decision was taken at the shareholders’ AGM today.

Originally a French government department, France Telecom became a separate business in 1990 and was later privatised.

Much-rumoured Nexus 4 White confirmed by LG

LG Electronics has officially launched the much-rumoured white version of its Android-powered Nexus 4 smartphone, which was developed in partnership with Google.

It’ll go on sale in Hong Kong from tomorrow, followed by other markets worldwide.

Mercedes-Benz introduces QR codes that could save lives after car accidents

Mercedes-Benz says it’ll be adding a QR code to its vehicles, making it easier for the emergency services to help injured occupants.

The barcode, which can be read by most smartphones and tablets, will provide a ‘rescue map’ that shows important information about the specific vehicle.
