A third of Google US searches for 'flowers' came from mobile devices on Mother's Day

Google and brand agency Digitas have announced a partnership to produce mobile marketing research that'll help predict trends. The first results focus on Mother's Day in the USA, which was on 9th May this year.

33% of Google search queries on that day for the term 'flowers' came from mobile devices...

Nokia kills Ovi brand

Nokia says it'll start rebranding its 'Ovi' services as 'Nokia' from July, although the transition isn't expected to be completed worldwide until the end of next year.

No disruption to any of the services is expected.

Low download figures from Xperia Play don't bother Sony Ericsson

PlayStationLifeStyle.net has interviewed Dominic Neil-Dwyer, Sony Ericsson's Head of Market Development, about the launch of the company's Xperia Play gaming phone.

Games sales are discussed, with the number of PS1 game downloads from the Android Market showing as between 100 - 500 sales in most cases.
