What a week it was for mobile manufacturers. RIM revealed the BlackBerry 10 platform to its developers, while Samsung announced a new flagship Android phone. Both offer a number of distinctive features, with fans commending them and critics suggesting they didn’t go far enough.

ExclusiveiZettle adds American Express to its mobile payment portfolio

Stockholm-based mobile payment service iZettle has announced it’s now able to accept American Express cards in Sweden and Finland. The company was already able to accept MasterCard, Visa and Diners Club payments via its card reader and app. 

iZettle’s reader plugs into an iPhone or iPad and turns it into a mobile payment terminal for ‘chip and PIN’ credit cards.

ExclusiveO2 bringing free WiFi to Costa Coffee

O2 has agreed a partnership to provide Costa, the UK’s largest coffee shop chain, with free WiFi.

Deployment has already started in London, with a national rollout due to continue throughout 2012. A single sign-up process gives users access to any of O2’s WiFi hotspots.
