Microsoft and Good Technology have announced a partnership that’ll enable businesses to use the Good for Enterprise security solution on Windows Phone devices. It means that organisations can protect corporate data and email messages when staff use Windows Phone handsets.

Good has also announced a separate partnership with Nokia for its Windows Phone ‘Lumia’ devices.

ZTE’s promise to introduce eight new mobile devices at Mobile World Congress was made good on Monday.

The ZTE Era, which will be available in the second half of this year, is a slim Android phone running the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core chip. It’s 7.8mm deep and has a 4.3-inch screen. Other devices included the Android-powered ZTE PF112 with a 4.5-inch screen, two new quad-core tablets for the European market and a Windows Phone handset called the ZTE Orbit.

The GSMA, which represents the interests of mobile operators, has published a set of privacy design guidelines for mobile application development. A number of mobile operators in Europe have already committed to implementing the guidelines for their own-brand applications.

The guidelines aim to provide consumers with more information and more control about how apps use their personal information.

Video-on-demand service provider Voddler has announced the world’s first movie streaming service for smartphones using Dolby Digital Plus audio. It’s currently available for a number of Nokia Symbian devices and is initially being offered in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
