In this week's podcast feature, Iain Graham has been taking a look at 'box breaking' in the UK. Box breaking can take a variety of forms but it generally involves buying a 'pay as you go' mobile phone at a price that's subsidised in part by a mobile network - and selling it at a higher price to someone who won't connect it to the original network. The package of phone and SIM card is effectively 'broken', with the SIM often sold separately.

ExclusiveGarmin to acquire Navigon

Satellite navigation company Garmin has agreed to acquire navigation provider Navigon, which has its headquarters in Germany.

Navigon will operate as a subsidiary of Garmin Ltd.

ExclusiveMobile ad revenue expected to double this year

Worldwide mobile advertising revenue is forecast to reach $3.3 billion this year, according to new research from Gartner. That's more than double the $1.6 billion generated in 2010.

Mobile ad revenue is expected to keep growing, reaching $20.6 billion by 2015, with search and maps expected to deliver the highest revenue.
