ExclusiveNew Starhome operations centre makes it easier for mobile networks to handle roaming customers

Zurich-based roaming specialist Starhome has revealed a new Global Services Operations Center designed to help network operators by identifying events that can affect consumers who are ‘roaming’ abroad. The GSOC can track the movements and services of over one and a half billion mobile roaming customers, proactively identifying and evaluating disruptions and peaks in services.

ExclusiveMobile app revenue to grow by 60% annually until 2014

The International Data Corporation has forecast that the amount of revenue from mobile applications is expected to increase at a 60% Compound Annual Growth Rate until 2014, when it’ll exceed £22 billion. This growth in worldwide revenue is expected to follow the growth in downloaded apps, from 10.9 billion this year to 76.9 billion in 2014.
