Ambiance Technology, based in the Netherlands, says it's the first company in Europe to launch a consumer 3G tablet computer operated by the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. The new AT-Tablet has a 10-inch screen, an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz chip, a 3G SIM card slot, WiFi, a 160GB hard drive and a 1.3 megapixel webcam. It's expected to go on sale next month.

Intel says it plans to buy WLS, Infineon's Wireless Solutions business, for around $1.4 billion.
The deal is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2011.
