It’s reported that investment firm KKR is talking to Deutsche Telekom and France Telecom about a possible takeover of the Everything Everywhere business in the UK.

Tom Alexander, who left his role as Everything Everywhere’s CEO a year ago, is said to be leading the bid.

Everything Everywhere and NSN launch a mobile-connected vending machine partnership

Everything Everywhere and Nokia Siemens Networks have announced a machine-to-machine partnership that will link vending machines to NSN's cloud-based VendMe service via Everything Everywhere SIM cards.

It allows vending machine owners to take advantage of remote stock monitoring, location-based promotional messages and mobile payments.

Everything Everywhere redesigns customer service to focus on operating systems

Everything Everywhere is investing £50 million to transform customer service for its 27 million T-Mobile and Orange UK users. It’s going to redesign its service operations around handset operating systems and the devices that use them. Overall, £50 million will be invested in contact centres, high-street stores and customer-facing staff this year.

The company says this new approach is designed to meet customers’ changing needs, enabling Orange and T-Mobile staff to offer advice about devices, technology and account information without having to transfer customers between departments.
