The Advertising Standards Authority has ruled that a TV advertisement and web page promoting a T-Mobile offer for “unlimited free texts forever” didn’t breach UK advertising regulations.
Two people who complained about the pay as you go offer didn’t believe it really would be available indefinitely.

‘Bring your own device’ specialist Good Technology has added two new features to its mobile-based business collaboration solution. It follows the company’s acquisition of secure mobile collaboration provider Copiun last month.
Good Share will make it easier for employees to access business files securely via their mobile devices, while Good Connect is an encrypted instant messaging service.

Research In Motion revealed more about its forthcoming BlackBerry 10 mobile operating system at its BlackBerry Jam developer conference in California yesterday.
BlackBerry 10, which is expected to be available on new BlackBerry devices early next year, is focussed on what RIM is calling ‘BlackBerry Flow’ - the idea that a BlackBerry device won’t slow you down. For example, BB10 can show all currently-running applications as small widgets rather than simply as icons.

New report says Instant Messaging will be the biggest driver
Juniper Research has forecast that the amount of mobile messaging traffic worldwide will reach 28.2 trillion messages per year by 2017, nearly double the 14.7 trillion messages expected to be sent this year.
It says most of this growth will come from instant messaging (IM), which will account for over a quarter of all mobile messages in five years’ time.
