The free app is available worldwide and is the first service from Telefónica Digital that’s been launched directly to consumers.

Openwave Systems, well-known for its mobile browser technology, has agreed to sell its mediation and messaging product businesses to Marlin Equity Partners.
The businesses will then be renamed as Openwave Mobility and Openwave Messaging, while Openwave’s remaining business unit will be renamed Unwired Planet.

RIM plans to release a series of updates to BlackBerry apps that’ll make it easier for users to combine social networking with their BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) contacts.
The new versions of Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones and Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones will allow users to automatically share their Facebook status or Tweets with BBM friends from within the app.
