Apple says the 10 billionth application downloaded from its iPhone, iPad and iPod touch App Store was Paper Glider by Neon Play.
The app was downloaded by Gail Davis of Orpington, Kent, who’ll receive a $10,000 iTunes Gift Card.

Scoreloop, which offers a social gaming platform to help developers create new mobile games, says over a million new users per week are purchasing and playing games that use the Scoreloop platform.
It also announced that 100 million game sessions were delivered on its platform in 2010.

Digital Chocolate, the company behind the Millionaire City and MMA Pro Fighter games on Facebook, is now launching the games on Android devices. Millionaire City was the second fastest growing game on Facebook in 2010.
The company is debuting the Android versions of its games on independent app store GetJar.

Juniper Research predicts that ad spend on mobile games will increase ten-fold over the next five years, up from $87 million last year to $894 million (£577 million) by 2015.
