Sony stops producing eBook readers for consumers

It’s reported that Sony has decided not to introduce a successor to its consumer PRS-T3 eBook reader, although it’ll continue producing specialist business readers that use its ‘digital paper’ system.

The company closed its online eBook stores in the USA and Europe earlier this year.

Google replaces Apple as the world's most valuable brand

After three years at the top of the Millward Brown BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Brands chart, Apple has lost the number 1 position to Google.

Apple slipped to second place in 2014, whilst IBM remained in third.

Sony reveals flagship Android-based smartphone and tablet

Sony Mobile has started Mobile World Congress with two new smartphones and a new tablet.

The Sony Xperia Z2 smartphone runs Android on a 2.3GHz Qualcomm processor. There’s a 20.7 megapixel camera sensor and 4K video recording, plus a 5.2-inch full HD display. In addition, the handset - just 8.2mm deep - incorporates digital noise reduction and is waterproof to IP58.
