HTC Corporation and UEFA have agreed that HTC will be the official mobile phone supplier partner of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League for the next three years.

Motorola Mobility has confirmed that the MOTOACTV fitness and music device - announced last month at the same time as the new RAZR smartphone - is coming to the UK next month.

ABI Research says the sports and health mobile application market will grow to be worth over $400 million (£258 million) in 2016, up from $120 million in 2010.
Much of that growth is expected to be driven by the ability of mobile handsets to connect to wearable sports and fitness devices.

The Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships took place yesterday in the Finnish town of Savonlinna. Hundreds of spectators watched competitors from around the world, although it was the Finns who dominated the results.
Winner of the men's category was Finland's Oskari Heinonen, who managed a 76 metre throw, while Netta Karvinen from Finland won the women's event with a throw of 48 metres.
