Figures from tech analysts Canalys show new leader for Q2 2020
Chinese manufacturer Huawei shipped more smartphones in the second quarter of this year than any other company, marking the first time it's ever overtaken Samsung.
A new report from mobile analysts at Juniper Research estimates that 320.3 million smartphones were shipped worldwide in the first quarter of this year.
That's a year-on-year drop of almost 6%.

Chinese telecoms giant Huawei has revealed a ‘smartwatch’ that runs the Android Wear platform on a Qualcomm 1.2GHz processor.
Simply called the Huawei Watch, this new wearable technology is being shown at Mobile World Congress 2015.

New figures from Strategy Analytics show that Samsung and Apple each produced 74.5 million smartphones in the final quarter of 2014, giving each of them just under a fifth of the total smartphone market.
It’s the first time the two companies have been this close with quarterly shipments since the end of 2011.
