Millionaire City goes mobile on Android phones

Digital Chocolate, the company behind the Millionaire City and MMA Pro Fighter games on Facebook, is now launching the games on Android devices. Millionaire City was the second fastest growing game on Facebook in 2010.

The company is debuting the Android versions of its games on independent app store GetJar.

Over a million user-generated photos have been uploaded to location-based social network Foursquare since it launched the option in December 2010.

Verizon Wireless to get Apple iPhone 4 in USA

AT&T's three-year exclusive hold on the Apple iPhone in the United States will end next month.

Verizon Wireless is to stock the iPhone 4 from 10th February, with existing customers able to pre-order from 3rd February.

Over a billion mobile broadband subscriptions worldwide by the end of 2011

Last year the number of mobile broadband subscriptions worldwide exceeded the 500 million mark – and now Ericsson says that figure will double in the next 12 months. The telecoms equipment provider expects over one billion mobile broadband connections by the end of 2011.
