HTC has enabled its RE camera to live-stream via a mobile phone to YouTube.
An update to the RE Android app will let users stream live video to their YouTube channel. A similar update will be made available for Apple iOS devices within the next few weeks.

Patent strategy specialist RPX Corporation says one of its subsidiary companies has bought approximately 4,000 patents from Rockstar Consortium.
Rockstar was formed three years ago to acquire around 6,000 technology patent assets from Nortel.

HTC has announced a small point-and-shoot waterproof camera that’s been described as a rival to the GoPro range.
The new RE has an unconventional cylindrical design without a viewfinder, although it can be controlled via an Android or iOS application that will also back up its photos. Live video stream is due to be added to the app in the future.
